Love of the ocean formed at a young age.
My parents rented a house in Woods Hole, Massachusettes when I was seven years old. One day on a small remote beach, I found a small mask and snorkel. I decided to try the mask on and stuck my head underwater. I spent the remaining days of the vacation at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. I was given the opportunity to board the Alvin Submersible.
From that moment, I've been curious about marine life.
At 12, in Monterey California, I received PADI Open Water SCUBA certification.
Shortly after, I moved to England and joined the Ocean Youth Club. I sailed as a crewmember on a 72' ketch from England to France and finally to the Channel Islands.
All of this, further spurred my interest in the maritime industry.
